EV charging for apartments and condos in Los Angeles

Short answer: If you own an EV but your building has no charger, ChargeAid can charge it where it’s parked on a schedule you set, for example once or twice a week overnight. For property managers and HOAs, we offer the same service as a resident amenity without installing chargers.

For residents

Charging at public stations takes time out of every week: driving there, waiting for a free stall, and sitting while it charges. Scheduled mobile charging brings the charger to your parking space instead.

  1. Pick a schedule. Weekly or twice weekly, on the days that suit your driving.
  2. Tell us where the car is. Building, garage level and space, plus how our technician gets access.
  3. We charge while you’re home or asleep. You get a text when we start and a receipt with miles added when we finish.

One 60-minute Top up adds about 25–45 miles, which covers a typical week of local driving for many LA commuters. Longer commutes may need a 90-minute session or two visits a week.

For property managers and HOAs

Installing EV chargers in an existing building can mean electrical upgrades, permits, parking changes and a long approval process. Scheduled mobile charging lets you offer EV charging to residents now, while you decide on permanent infrastructure.

  • No construction, panel upgrades or permits
  • Residents book and pay directly, or the building covers it as an amenity
  • Visits scheduled at quiet hours to keep garages clear
  • Monthly report of sessions and energy delivered

Common questions

Do I need to be there? No, as long as our technician can reach the car and the charge port. Some cars need the port unlocked from your phone app.

Does my building have to approve it? We follow your building’s garage rules. For regular visits, it helps to let management know, and we can talk to them for you.

Which areas do you cover? Greater Los Angeles. See the service area.
